Ashley Evans, LPC
Hi. I’m Ashley Evans and I’m a trauma-focused therapist and certified personal coach.
Who Am I?
My interest in therapy was born out of a deep desire to understand how to live with a loved one’s addiction. It was a long road, paved with frustration, tears, and a lot of humility, but out of it came new realms of understanding and compassion. Raised in a conservative Christian home with a “Leave it to Beaver” family, I have a great respect for family and faith. That being said, life has led me on many interesting journeys, many of which I could never have imagined. I’ve traveled the roads of separation, divorce, remarriage and now a blended family. I’ve had religious trauma and PTSD myself.
What is the difference between a life coach and therapist?
I practice both as a life coach and as a licensed psychotherapist. As a life coach, I give advice when asked and share wisdom I’ve gleaned through life experience. I work with men and women nationwide to increase emotional and physical intimacy. As a psychotherapist, I am more focused on my client’s inner emotional world, and work purposefully to identify unconscious thoughts, behaviors, and defenses and bring them to the surface so that we may understand maladaptive patterns.
I am a huge believer in post-traumatic growth as I’ve witnessed it time and time again, both personally and professionally. I am here to help you when you’re ready.
